NOMINATE A FAMILY IN NEED OF A NEW COOLING & HEATING UNIT
Hobaica Services to give away 8 comfort systems as part of BEGIN Campaign
September 19, 2012, Phoenix, AZ – Louis Hobaica, owner of Hobaica Services, announced the 4th Annual Kick-Off of the BEGIN Program, Business Entities Getting Involved in our Neighborhoods, campaign for the 2012 Holiday Season.
The BEGIN Program is a grassroots community development program, founded by the team at Hobaica Services, which specifically targets homeowners who are in need of a new Air Conditioning and Heating System for their home and their families but are unable to afford it on their own. Through a nomination process, which is located at www.hobaica.com, candidates are selected and announced every week in November and December.
Hobaica Services is also offering up a challenge to all other business owners to do the same with their products and services and assist multiple families at this very special time of the year. For businesses interested in becoming part of BEGIN, please call Paul Hobaica at 602.235.0235.
“If it weren’t for the BEGIN Program, I would have been forced to move. I simply couldn’t afford a big ticket home improvement item like an AC Unit.”According to Jennifer Langdon, 2011 BEGIN Program recipient, advocate for spinal cord injuries patients and Chair for the Mayor’s Commission on Disability Issues.
Jennifer is not really all that different from other recipients of the BEGIN Program campaign; homeowners, who are living on a limited income and who struggle to make ends meet. An unexpected or costly repair to the home comfort system is not practical on their own.
Tracy McNamara, a single mom with 2 young daughters at home had been struggling to make ends meet for years. Tracy purchased a foreclosed home and soon found out the 18 year old AC unit was in need of replacement. Tracy and her daughters endured a miserable summer without AC and then were facing a winter without heating. Through the BEGIN Program, their new system was installed in October 2011 helping to keep this family warm and safe throughout the cold winter months.
There are some 24 personal and touching stories from the past three years of the BEGIN Program and over $143,000 in equipment and labor that has gone into the program, with an estimated $45,000 to be donated in November and December of this year. And as part of the program, all equipment that is donated to the program comes with standard warranties and services that are extended to paying customers. All installation and equipment is covered 100% by the BEGIN Program and winners are not required to give anything in return, other than to pay it forward with kindness to another person
“We started this program to give back to the community that has supported our family for more than 60 years.”Stated Paul Hobaica, who owns Hobaica Services with his brothers, Louis and Mike Hobaica
Eligibility is fairly simple and requires the candidate to own their home and reside in that home in Maricopa County. Nominations can be submitted on line at www.hobaica.com or by calling 602-235-0235.
Hobaica Services is a family-owned and operated residential and commercial cooling, heating, refrigeration, wine cellar and solar contractor serving Arizona since 1952 and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
