Clean Up Dust Inside Your AC System

Vacuum inside your AC unit to remove any dirt, dust and debris that has accumulated. Also, be sure to vacuum out the area where you air filter is located, as well as any vents and ducting within reach. Clean Your AC Outside

Trim any grass, shrubs or trees away from your AC unit and clean up any leaves or debris that have accumulated around it, so the air flow through the outdoor coil is not obstructed. Wash your outdoor unit with your garden hose, being careful not to get the motor, wiring or any electrical controls wet. Be certain to turn the breaker off first to prevent any dangerous electrical issues while cleaning.
