Hobaica Supports Providence Rebuild 2016
Recently Hobaica Services, Inc. participated in an important community service project called Providence Rebuild 2016. In cooperation with other local Phoenix businesses, Hobaica donated both time and materials to rebuild The Providence House of Refuge. This house is a temporary home for a homeless mother and her children, getting them off the streets and giving them a safe place to live. With a roof over their heads, this family will receive support services to help them become self sufficient. As one family gets back on their feet with employment, child care, health services and other necessary services, they will move into longer term housing and another homeless family in need will make The Providence House of Refuge their home.
The Providence House of Refuge is one of many houses sponsored by Sunnyslope, Inc. which is an organization providing homes and assistance to individuals and families in need. A home is often the first step in achieving goals toward self sufficiency, financial stability, emotional stability and hope. Sunnyslope, Inc. offers childcare, life skills classes, mentoring, bible study, and emotional and spiritual guidance to the families in their programs. Hobaica is proud to support an organization that makes an amazing difference improving the lives of so many members of the community.
Providing Shelter, Safety and the Comforts of Home
Hobaica played an active, important role in the Providence Rebuild project. While Lennox provided the air conditioner, Hobaica donated new ductwork, a thermostat, and the exhaust fans. Hobaica also donated the labor to get the air conditioning system installed properly. All in all, the Hobaica team gave over $6700 in labor and materials. Hobaica knows the importance of home comfort, and is very happy to help get one less family off the streets, and put one more family living in a cool, comfortable, safe home.
Hobaica’s History of Community Service
Hobaica has a long history of community involvement in the Phoenix area. When Paul Hobaica opened his one-man business called Hobaica Refrigeration back in 1952, he worked out of his house and provided refrigeration services for his neighbors and several local business owners. He learned early on that the success of his business depended on support from the community. Over 60 years later, community relationships are just as important to Hobaica. Though they are a larger company serving the greater Phoenix area, they still depend on community support, and want to reciprocate by supporting and strengthening our community members in need.
Hobaica is proud to be a part of such a worthy service project that will offer a safe haven and give a fresh start to many needy families. They will continue to support important causes in the Phoenix community through project BEGIN – Business Entities Getting Involved in our Neighborhood. Hobaica’s many charitable contributions include donations to local schools, youth organizations including scouts and little league teams, and churches including Catholic Social Services and St. Mary’s Food Bank.
